A Glazier is a construction professional that selects, cuts, installs, replaces, and removes commercial and residential glass and aluminum extrusion. Glaziers install aluminum storefront frames, entrances, curtain wall framing, glass handrails and other glass and mirror applications.
An apprentice glazier can work on both commercial and residential projects. It takes approximately four years for an apprentice to complete his or hers on-the-job training and schooling. After filling all qualifications, an apprentice becomes a full journeyman glazier and is qualified to run and supervise commercial and industrial glazing projects. In British Columbia glaziers attend B.C.I.T. to receive their full journeymen qualifications. Below are some links which could help you learn more about the Glazing trade.
